100 Cans of Food for 100 Days of School

Greendale Elementary School students from Mrs. Selvaggi’s, Mrs. Burns’, and Mrs. Griffin’s classrooms set a goal of collecting 100 cans of food in celebration of their 100th day of school.  This was also an opportunity to incorporate a day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 21.  These students exceeded their goal by collecting 113 cans of food along with a variety of other pantry goods.  All of these items were donated to the Faith in Action food pantry in Washington County, Virginia.
