Do You Wanna Build a Snowman

In Mrs. Kiser’s fifth grade science class, the students got together and decided that since Mother Nature is not cooperating with snow, they would build a snowman of their own! This STEM activity had everyone scrambling to see who could build the tallest snowman.  Using materials such as card stock, pipe cleaners, tape, straws, and other things, the students set out building the perfect snowman.  The thirty minute time constraint had them working quickly and efficiently.  Students at Greendale Elementary are busy at work with STEM which promotes teamwork, leadership, and “on your feet” thinking so that our students can come up with some pretty neat projects!
