First Nine Weeks

Spelling: Study weekly word list for test on Friday

Math: Look at math sheets sent home in KEEP pocket to see how your child is doing with the skill being taught. Go over problem areas at home to make sure they are ready for the test.

• Understanding Addition
• Understanding Subtraction
• Five and Ten Relationships

Social Studies: Watch for study guides with the approximate date of the test on it. KEEP these to help prepare your child for the test.
• Citizenship
• Past and present (comparison of schools, communities, transportation, family life) Time Lines
• People and events associated with President’s Day, Columbus Day, Independence Day
• U.S. Symbols

Science: Watch for study guides with the approximate date of the test on it. KEEP these to help prepare your child for the test.
• Conducting Investigations
• Seasonal & Weather Changes
• Life Processes of Plants, Animals, and People

Second Nine Weeks
NOTE: The homework notices will start over for each new nine weeks. Be reminded that if your child receives more than 3 notices in a nine week period, they will receive homework help during their remediation/playtime.
