Greendale 4th Grade Dramatic Reading
On October 31, 2016, Greendale Elementary 4-H members competed in the "Dramatic Reading" contest. Sixty-one members from fourth grade performed pieces from their choice of literature. Each participant was given two-three minutes to read from his or her favorite book, story, or poem. The students were awarded points in the following areas: Introduction of the piece, tone and emphasis, speed and rhythm, facial expression, and body language. The purpose of this activity is to build better oral language skills when communicating to a group. The blue ribbon winners will represent Greendale Elementary at the county competition in March.
