Stars and Wolves
Greendale’s first graders took a trip to another galaxy on October 31st with the help of the planetarium. While on a field trip to Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium, students were able to see all the shapes of the constellations, see some planets, and even what the sky would look like after dark while trick-or-treating that night. After coming back to Earth, we made our way to the wolves’ habitat. We learned several new facts about wolves, even how you can tell the hierarchy of a wolf in the pack by the position it holds it’s tail. While learning about the wolves, they entertained us with their playfulness in their pack. It was fun to watch the wolves chase each other, catch each other, then turn around and chase another wolf. It was a great day and the students were in awe of the stars and wolves!
