On Friday, October 27, Greendale Elementary held it's first ever Vocabulary Parade. The parade required each student, faculty and staff member to choose a vocabulary word and create a sign with the word and definition. Additional information, such as the part of speech and pronunciation could be included, as well. Participants then went a step further by dressing up as their vocabulary word. Several students paired up as synonyms and antonyms. A parade was held throughout the entire school to allow every person to view and hopefully learn some new vocabulary words. The event was a perfect example showing that learning can indeed be quite fun.
