Red Ribbon Week Activities - October 27-31

Greendale Elementary has launched a podcast to allow students to share happenings with the school community. Our first episode is up with Dr. Sprinkle and 5th grader B. Gilliam. Enjoy and share ideas on future podcast episodes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGpSWW01q6Y

What an incredible Friday under the fall sunshine! Our annual Faculty vs. 5th Grade Flag Football Game was a huge hit — filled with teamwork, laughter, and school spirit. The 5th graders came ready to play and took home the WIN this year!
A big thank you to our amazing teachers for bringing their energy and sportsmanship, and to all the families and students who came out to cheer. It was a perfect reminder of what makes Greendale such a special community.

Baby Pumpkins arrived at GES today! Thank you to Mr. Matthew Lowe for donating a baby pumpkin for each of our students! We hope all the babies got home safely!

GES students have been making attendance a priority. For September, 138 students had perfect attendance. They earned a special performance from Ann and David Ledgerwood. Everyone had a blast enjoying live music from Washington County's finest! We sang along to "You Are My Sunshine" and "Keep on the Sunnyside" as well as a song about our favorite foods!

Today, our WGES Student News Crew had the exciting opportunity to visit WCYB! Students were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the studio and newsroom by none other than Teresa Carter — anchor and meteorologist.
They were able to see firsthand how a professional news broadcast comes together, from the newsroom to the lights and cameras in the studio. Our crew asked thoughtful questions, observed the fast-paced environment, and even got a glimpse of what it takes to deliver the news to our community each day.
We are so proud of our budding journalists here at Greendale — their curiosity, professionalism, and excitement show that the future of storytelling and reporting is bright!
A huge thank you to WCYB and Teresa Carter for welcoming our students and inspiring them to dream big!
