Come out for a free spaghetti dinner on Thursday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m. at GES! PTO is sponsoring the dinner and will be sharing plans for upcoming events. School staff will be introduced as well. The book fair will be open for Family Night, too!

Referrals for gifted education services are now being accepted August 28 through September 15. If you would like to refer a student for an evaluation, please contact your student's homeroom teacher. Any referrals received after September 15 will be held until the Spring 2024 evaluation window. Should you have any questions, please contact Ms. Susan O'Dell at sodell@wcs.k12.va.us.
PTO is having a popsicle day on Wednesday, August 30. They are accepting donations to support Mrs. Gate's project to get ukuleles for music class. Send donations in an envelope to school or scan their PayPal code. They are asking for monetary donations as popsicles will be provided.

All parents of school-aged children and youth with disabilities who receive special education services in Virginia are requested to complete the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) annual Parent Involvement Survey.

All t-shirt orders are due by Wednesday, August 23. Forms were sent home for those who did not get to order at orientation.
Each week we will recognize the Lighthouse Keepers. Lighthouse Keepers will be the class with the best attendance for the week.
Mr. Fleming's Fourth Grade Class will be the Lighthouse Keepers for the Week of August 21-25.
